As we move ahead in our journey through the 21st century when we are making giant leaps in the field of technology, a positive force guiding all of us is the fact that we have today ushered in an ‘era of responsibility’. Instead of complaining we are learning to take up the responsibility of our wrong-doing and thus understanding the importance of making the right choice at the right moment. As creations of nature it is desired that we value and respect the existence of each and every living creature otherwise our survival becomes difficult. We urgently need to understand that we are interdependent on each other for our very existence. Living in competition is not nature’s rule. Our survival is possible not by competing with others in the race, but by creating space and circumstances for the survival of others in coordination with our own growth.

We plan for the maximum academic growth of our students in a systematic plans and programmes which help them to aspire and hope to put feet in  multiple career prospects in the fielt of IIT, ENGINEERING, MEDICAL, NDA, SCIENTIFIC RESEARCHES, CIVIL SERVICES etc. Besides academics in +2 science, the multiple activities we impart at Vikash Junior College, Sambalpur is a step towards mutual coexistence by sensitizing the students to varied issues which can influence their growth and development. By motivating students to participate in subject specific activities, assessing their scholastic and co-scholastic skills, we have ushered in an era where students are sensitized to take the reins and become Eco-champs, and help in building Green Colleges and Green Cities. Through group activities they learn to move ahead in coordination with others. It is not just what ‘I’ score but what ‘we’ score is important. In the process the strength of the entire group comes together to frame out a work force which jointly gears itself to achieve the ‘Best’. Consequently, they learn to take pride in their accomplishments and set their goals in the right direction.

We have implemented a comprehensive student’s performance record in its true spirit because we sincerely felt that until and unless a comprehensive student’s performance record was not effectively implemented, the learning process of the students could not be enhanced. We at Vikash have thus devised a system of continuous feedback to the students so they are fully aware of the why and how to improve their skills. Through meticulous planning we wish to bring about a unique amalgamation of both scholastic and co-scholastic skills for his/her over-all development.

We are committed to partner with students, parents, teachers and community members to develop confident, responsible, compassionate, co-operative and creative students.

Our commitment is to provide a safe, academically rigorous, ethically motivated environment that assist the students to achieve their highest potential and help them to be self directed and lifelong learners, we have strong ethos and open communication with students, teachers and parents.

We educators are fortunate that we have voluntarily accepted a mission that is the noblest that the human kind can conceive of and for the fulfillment of such a mission, no sacrifice is too great. We have something higher, sweeter; purer than gold, greater than money and fame and that is the zenith of the progress of our students.

I will like my staff to live up to the confidence reposed by parents and students in them.
