understand the needs of our students and that of the society. We think
collectively and continuously about ways and means of ensuring that these
needs are fulfilled. This we do through constant up gradation and refining
of skills, we do it with a positive attitude that creates an environment for
the all round development of our students, an environment that prepares them
to face the challenges of a fast changing world and most importantly an

At Vikash Junior College, Sambalpur, we believe that education must not
confine itself merely to training the child to an increasingly scientific
and technological world but to provide a good balanced education.
The College endeavours to :

give individual attention for academic and personal development of each

spiritual and vocational instruction to impart the right values to
students including teamwork, self-motivation, sensitivity and compassion
and practical applied learning.

education course of their choice.

PHILOSOPHY Whilst high academic
achievement is a priority, Vikash Junior College, Sambalpur aims to
create a 'community' of well rounded individuals, where a spirit of
cooperation and mutual respect exists among the students and teachers. The
institute organizes many activities throughout the year where qualities such
as leadership and self-discipline are inculcated and there is an emphasis on
the individual’s intellectual and emotional growth. A number of sports are
played in the college and give the students an opportunity to express their
individual talent. Drama, Performing Arts, Arts and Design, Yoga, Swimming,
Debating and Music form a significant part of the curriculum. |
