FORMATION OF THE CLUB AND  ORGANISE PROGRAMMES  AND ACTIVITIES BY

 YOUTH RED CROSS

VIKASH JUNIOR COLLEGE, BARGARH

  • A RALLY against child abuse was conducted by the YRC volunteers of VIKASH JUNIOR COLLEGE on14.11.2008 on the observance of children’s day across the country to draw the attention of public to make them aware of the very fact of child abuse,child harassment ,child labour above all to protect the self of children. Inaugurated by Hon.Managing Director of Vikash Educational institution it was started from the Lamba building Bargarh and covered up to Gandhi chowk .Volunteers , having placards, leaflet and pamphlet with their hands voiced a good many slogans to create awareness among people of different walk of life .

 

  •  YRC volunteers of VIKASH JUNIOR COLLEGE on 01.12.2008 on the observance of World’s AIDS day across the country joined their hands to come out with a rally to create awareness among people of different walk of life TO CHOOSE LIFE &  UNDERSTAND AIDS  for a better social status. Starting from the Lamba building Bargarh it covered up to Gandhi chowk where Volunteers , having placards, leaflet and other means of communication conveyed people the various means to refrain from the Social Evil.

 

  • A Rally against Road Safety Day conducted by YRC volunteers of VIKASH JUNIOR COLLEGE on 01.01.2009 to 10.01.2009 from the Lamba building Bargarh and covered up to Gandhi chowk .Volunteers , having placards, leaflet and pamphlet with their hands voiced a good many slogans to create awareness among people of different walk of life.

 

  • We are distributing Red Ribbon to the students & staff.

 

  • Quiz Competitions conducted by YRC for the Republic day.

 

  • Essay Competitions conducted by YRC for the Republic day.

 

  • A two days training should be given to the selected 25 volunteers of our College on different aspect of HIV/AIDS awareness. Resource person arrange locally. Training module should include the following topics:

(i)  Basic facts about HIV/AIDS Global, National and State scenario.

(ii) Vulnerability of young people to HIV infection.

(iii) Basic facts about HIV transmission and prevention.

(iv) Misconceptions regarding HIV/AIDS

(v)  Life skills for HIV protection. Its should includes self awareness and self esteem, values and beliefs, relationship, effective communication, decision making, peer pressure – saying No, coping with emotions and stress management.
