Sports and games play a very
important part in the contemporary academic curriculum.
Education is not just the intellectual acculturation but it is
the drawing out of the best in students’ body, mind and spirit.
Physical development thus acquires a new thrust in the modern
education. Besides, sports and games train up the students to
face up to the consequential challenging circumstances with
sheer determination. It inculcates in the students the essence
of patience, perseverance, devotion, dedication and discipline.
Leadership quality is cultured in the back drop of unity in
diversity highlighted in games. It has been the part and parcel
of the education in as much as it sharpens students’ personality
to cope with any adversities. In addition to its academic
socio-cultural aspects, sports provide succour to those who long
for a career in this field.
Keeping in view of it Vikash is galvanizing the student inert
spirit into enthusiastic action. In order to conduct the games
and sports in a spirited way the entire sports club of Vikash
has been divided into four houses. To conduct it in a healthy
atmosphere and sporting spirit two gents P.E.Ts, one athletic
coach & one lady P.E.T along with all teachers join hands to
give a concrete shape to the sporting talent.
