PADMASHREE DILIP TIRKEY INAUGURATES NEW PLAY FIELD AT
VIKASH EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION

Former Indian Captain Hockey Wizard Padmashree Dilip Tirkey inaugurated the
new Play Field at Vikash Educational Institution, Main Campus, Bargarh . In
his brief address to the students he says” Hard work and 100% commitment
lead to success and games and sports do not hamper the academics of students
but boost them to obtain miraculous success ” . In the inaugural meeting
Mr.S.N.Panda, Principal VJC gave the welcome speech and read out the profile
of Mr.Tirkey. Mr Tirkey in the presence of Mr.P. Mishra, Secretary, DAA was
honoured by the Management members for his devotion and dedication in the
field of games and sports and his service to the nation. The other
dignitaries present on the dais were Mr.Rabindra Mishra, BDO, Bargarh, Mr
Srinivas Kabi, Project Director, DRDA, Bargarh, Mrs Meera Tirkey and
Mr.S.P.Roulo, Principal, VRS. Mr.Tirkey offered special tips to the students
of VEI participating in National Level Competitions. An atmosphere of
excitement and enthusiasm was seen among the students having an
international sportsman in the institution. Mr. D. Murali Krishna, Chairman
VEI offered the vote of Thanks and told that the visit of Mr.tirkey would
boost the students to play for the nation in coming days. In the cultural
program the students performed a dance in “ Chakde India”. Std-VIII student,
Gargi Suman Tripathy coordinated the meeting and cultural programme.
